Every Diamond Lab Boutique piece comes with our Lifetime Manufacturing Guarantee. We make every piece in-house, and if a manufacturing fault is found, we'll repair or replace it free of charge.
What's covered
- Faults in materials or workmanship, such as casting flaws or a broken solder join
- A stone that comes loose or falls out because of a setting fault
- Faulty clasps, catches and earring posts
What's not covered
- Normal wear and tear, such as worn claws or surface scratches
- Rhodium plating on white gold, which wears over time. Re-plating every 12–24 months is routine maintenance, quoted per piece.
- Damage from misuse or negligence, including knocks, impact and bent claws
- Loss or theft
- Damage from chemicals such as chlorine or harsh cleaners
- Pieces repaired, resized or altered by another jeweller
Keeping your guarantee active
Your guarantee includes a complimentary inspection every year at our Chermside store, and we'll clean your piece free at every inspection. To keep the guarantee valid, your piece needs this inspection once a year. The guarantee covers jewellery bought from, and inspected by, Diamond Lab Boutique.
How to make a claim

- Bring your piece in, or post it to us insured, with your proof of purchase.
- We'll inspect it and let you know what we'll do. For a covered defect, we'll repair or replace the piece at no cost to you.
- For a valid claim, we cover the repair and insured return postage. If you post the piece to us, keep your postage receipt and we'll reimburse it.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
This guarantee is in addition to your other rights and remedies under the law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

- An insurance valuation with every purchase, plus your diamond's grading certificate

Caring for your jewellery
- Take your jewellery off before swimming, showering, exercising or sleeping.
- Keep it away from perfume, lotion, hairspray and harsh chemicals.
- Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or box so it doesn't scratch.
- Clean it gently with a soft cloth or mild soapy water.
